Marshmallows- My Shakespearean Sonnet

Marshmallows

Yummy, Heavenly, Dreamy, Big, White Dreams

Yes these are words that describe marshmallows

Made of Glucose and Gelatin, they’re good

They’re also a sugary land’s white beams

In a summer year ago having ham

My cousins and I were roasting mallows

And then my marshmallow caught on fire

I took it out and blew it out, then Wham

In the cottage, holding ice to my cheek

I’m thinking about the fire’s events

The marshmallow flew into my young face

My face felt really hot for a whole week

In all I learned a need not for a base

Don’t bring a burnt marshmallow to your face
